Persona 5 manga, written and illustrated by Murasaki Hisato, debuted on September 22, 2016, shortly after the release of the game. The ongoing series follows the story of Akira Kurusu as he awakens his Persona and forms the Phantom Thieves of Hearts to combat corruption, with slight deviations from the original plot of the game.
